Conflict in Afghanistan

One of the biggest crises right now is the Afghan conflict, where many people are fleeing the country and do not have access to food, clean water, and shelter, which affects displaced children and women.

The UN has called on the international community to take immediate actions in response to the recent crisis in Afghanistan. “We are particularly concerned about the impact of these conflicts on women and girls,” a United Nation’s High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) spokeswoman told a news conference in Geneva, as About 80 percent of approximately 250,000 Afghans who have been forced to flee since the end of May are women and children. A total of about 400,000 people have been forced to flee their homes since the beginning of this year to join the 2.9 million Afghans who are homeless and displaced inside Afghanistan.

Hope Donors have been one of the first non-government groups that have responded to this crisis. With the help of our team and volunteers, we are currently providing food, clean water, and shelter to displaced Afghan refugees, and are trying to provide support for more displaced refugees.
